As Todd mentioned I think they lose their 3rd for Ruutu and also I believe they have 8 total picks because they owe their 7th for Straka.

Devils have a choice of giving Carolina this seasons 3rd rounder or next seasons i think they should give them this years since the draft class is very weak shouldn't be much talent leaf in the 3rd round plus if Colorado wins the draft lottery we will have the first pick in the 3rd

The only round affected by the lotto is first. after that it is based off standings, so as long as Colorado finishes last we have that number 1 pick in the 3rd round.

People are saying this draft is week because there is no McDavid/ Matthews, etc at the top. There is still decent depth in this draft.
